Witryna10 cze 2015 · My 2005 Chevy Impala 3.4 (column shifter) has always given me a bit of a problem shifting out of park. The shifter lever just doesn't move in far enough to pull it down into any gears. Usually I can remedy this by waiting a minute or two, or by repeatedly pressing the brake pedal. Witryna11 mar 2011 · If you look down around the parts area under where the gearshift parts are there is a round silver bolt looking piece. You have to push that bult piece in and then it will come out of park. This is something that will always happen until you get it fixed. You might want to get a screw driver to use to help push in the round bolt with.

Now I can't shift out of park without pressing the release on the side of the shifter. To make matters worse, the glove box latch is broken and I can't get to the owners manual for the fuse diagrams.
